Our client is seeking a suitably qualified & experienced person to manage its technical maintenance & operation team for the client’s Victorian Transmission System (VTS) assets within Western Victoria. This includes all easements, underground pipe work, above and below ground valves, regulator stations, heaters and facilities. The successful applicant will from time to time also be responsible for the management of project field activities.
Education & Qualifications:

  • Associate Diploma/Certificate of Technology in Engineering or relevant trade background in a mechanical, electrical or instrumentation discipline,
  • knowledge of relevant pipeline regulations, codes, licenses & Acts
  • ability to plan work & organize resources, applying sound administrative work practices.
  • strong leadership & communication skills,
  • computer literacy
  • exposure to asset maintenance management systems.
    Experience:
  • operational experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical or utilities industry,
  • senior operational role on operations & maintenance activities within the gas transmission sector or similar.
  • scheduling personnel & material resources,
  • budget preparation & cost expenditure monitoring and control
  • managing service contract arrangements & delivery of contracted services to customers
  • involvement in emergency response and pipeline repair activities an advantage.
